New Harmony, Indiana, situated on the banks of the meandering Wabash River, provides visitors a unique experience.  Nearly two hundred years ago, New Harmony began as a religious settlement and then became a haven for more secular educational and cultural pursuits.

Today, residents and tourists alike can be found enjoying the slower pace of a town . . . dining, shopping, visiting the many art galleries, and admiring the quaint surroundings of a town where even the architecture pays tribute to a blend of the past and future.  New Harmony is known for its many gardens and public spaces designed for quiet contemplation and spiritual renewal.

In addition to its tranquil atmosphere, New Harmony offers activities for all ages.  Numerous shops specializing in antiques and collectibles, as well as both fine and casual restaurants, line the downtown streets.  Live music can be heard many weekend evenings, and for the kids, there are several parks in town and even a movie theatre where they may want to catch the matinee.

So, please come for the serenity and stay for the fun!
